During the years 2005-2007, when Rob was working on his ‘reunion’ album with Stonefield Tramp, and as hard as we tried, and we really did pull out all the stops! We failed to locate fellow band member Dave Lloyd. However, in 2017, I received an e mail from Dave who had finally, after some 40 odd years, Googled Stonefield Tramp and discovered my website. It was lovely to be back in touch with him again, and a very warmly received reunion took place during that Summer at my local watering hole, The Three Horseshoes pub, in the village of Norton, just outside Letchworth. Rob even flew in from the U.S.A. for this very special event!
As I was still in the process of recovering from my, fairly recent, motor bike crash, and feared that I would never be able to play my guitar again, I asked Dave if he would like to collaborate with me as a song writer, his music and my lyrics? He gladly accepted the offer and this album is the first fruit of our labours, with enough spare songs written for at least two more in the near future! It has to be clearly stated that Dave’s expertise, on the instrument guitar, is several notches above my humble aspirations. It is always good to raise the bar a little!

“The name “Reggie” was my Dad’s name and is my middle name. Given that my own name, David Lloyd, is a name already widely used, it seemed fitting to name our little act “Regge”. In addition to this, I am so indebted to David Pickering Pick (amazing producer), Brian, Corallie and Terry that it would have been a little disingenuous to simply call the album after me.” – David Lloyd.

First recorded in 1983, and released as a run of 30 cassettes only. My second solo album but this time I used a producer, Dave Simpson. Plus a guest spot by local blues man John Slaughter. Now I can afford to do so, I’d like this album to reach a wider audience. No vinyl collectors or internet in 1983!

At last! My own version of my cherished epic song dedicated to the memory of the famouse last stand at the Alamo in San Antonio in Texas on March the 6th 1836. Recorded and mixed at the FFG studio in Bredon during 2007. The definitive recording of my cherished Alamo song.
Despite the success of the earlier version of my Alamo song, by Alter Ego, in the gift shop at The Alamo in San Antonio, Texas, I was always disappointed in it! Hence my decision to record my own version a few years later. A better studio, better musicians, and a better engineer/producer made all the difference!

Previous recordings that had never been released! In essence a new contemporary album.
After being ripped off, robbed, and files retained by the runaway con-man Darren Hurst, I managed to retain five of the completed tracks of the album we were working on. And, taking, and improving six tracks from my 1998 album ‘Whispers in the Wind’ at David Pickering Pick’s FFG Studio in Bredon in 2006. I had a brand new contemporary album to launch. So I attached it to the Strange Journey series of albums. Once again assorted musicians and studios were used, and whose names all appear on the original albums.

After my decade in the song writing wilderness, where I truely thought that it was all over, I reeled in my good friend Colin Johnson from our ‘New Morning’ days, and with the help of another friend Charlie Thackway, we recorded all of my songs that had been gathering dust in my archive.
Recorded at John Rand’s kitchen studio in Luton, Bedfordshire in 1997 and 1998 – an astonishing 12 years after my last album was recorded in 1985.
